What is Community Reinforcement and Family Training (CRAFT)?
Community Reinforcement and Family Training is a research-backed approach to helping a loved one struggling with addiction. CRAFT believes in your ability to positively influence your loved one struggling with addiction. The skills focus on positive connection and communication to motivate your partner towards treatment while improving your own well-being.
How does addiction coaching differ from traditional therapy?
Addiction coaching focuses on empowering concerned significant others with specific skills and strategies to help their loved ones navigate their recovery journey. Unlike traditional therapy, which often focuses on the individual, coaching involves supporting the entire family system.
Who can benefit from CRAFT coaching services?
Family members or partners of individuals struggling with addiction can greatly benefit from CRAFT Coaching. Services are designed for parents, siblings, spouses, partners, or anyone else who is seeking to improve their loved one's chances of recovery while enhancing their own well-being.
What can I expect during a coaching session?
During a coaching session, you can expect a safe, non-judgmental space to discuss your challenges, learn effective strategies for communication, and receive guidance tailored to your family or partner dynamic. Sessions focus on positive reinforcement and actionable steps toward healing.
What can I expect to get out of coaching sessions?
The three main goals of CRAFT are to get your loved one into treatment, to reduce their substance use, and to improve your personal well-being.
How long does it take to learn the CRAFT method?
There are nine CRAFT skills. Each session will focus on one of the skills. Most clients can expect to learn the skills in about 9-12 hour-long sessions.
What credentials for you have?
I am certified by "We the Village" in Community Reinforcement and Family Training (CRAFT).
Are sessions available in-person or online?
I currently only offer virtual sessions.
Are Sessions Confidential?
Yes. Sessions are confidential. You can be assured your information will not be shared publicly, unless safety is deemed a concern. You will be billed by "Delia Herman Coaching," to keep the content of our coaching session private.
Do you you take insurance?
While I am certified in Community Reinforcement and Family Training (CRAFT) by "We the Village," I am not a licensed therapist. Therefore, I cannot bill insurance. However, to keep sessions accessible, I offer sliding scale payment options. See "Pricing" for more details.

While I am unable to bill insurance, I aim to provide accessibility through the following sliding scale payment options:

• Household income above $100,000: $90 per session

• Household income $90,000 - $99,999: $85 per session

• Household income $80,000 - $89,999: $75 per session

• Household income $70,000 - $79,999: $65 per session

• Household income $60,000 - $69,999: $55 per session

• Household income $50,000 - $59,999: $50 per session

• Household income $40,000 - $49,999: $45 per session
